Preparing for Planting 2009

The Mower County Junior Gardeners group met on Monday, May 18, 2009, to till the ground, set up rain barrels, move the compost pile, put in a "4-H clover" bed, and decide on the location of paths. For the evening of preparing the garden for planting, 2 parents, 3 Master Gardeners, 7 youth, and 2 Extension staff were present. The next meeting is set for the first Thursday of summer, June 4, from 10 a.m.-noon, and all youth are invited.
